Tips for a Glorious Complexion
Everyone dreams of possessing a beautiful, smooth, blemish-free complexion, but most of us are failing miserably in the skincare department. Yes, exceptional skin does largely depend upon genetics, but there are certainly a few things that you can do to improve the quality and look of your skin. Follow my tips and you’ll be on your way to a healthy glow.
Tip #1: Avoid excessive skin exposure. A golden tan is appealing, especially during the sun months but don’t overdo it. You should always, always wear at least SPF 15 whenever you leave your house, even when it’s raining, snowing or cloudy. A moisturizer will keep your skin soft and supple, and it will help resist the negative affects of the sun. You can still get a light tan while wearing sunscreen, so don’t let that hinder a liberal application of the stuff. You should also wear a large brimmed hat when you are laying back on a in direct sun exposure to protect the sensitive skin on your face.
Tip #2: Wash your skin every single night before bed. The skin on your face is incredibly sensitive and throughout the day dirt and grime really builds up. You will need to invest in a quality exfoliator to remove dirt and dry skin. Doing this every night will allow your skin to breath and heal while you sleep. Also make sure not to sleep with your face pressed against your pillow. This could lead to clogged pores, so try to sleep on your back if you can.
Tip #3: Give up smoking and excessive drinking. It can be a difficult trade-off, but if you want beautiful skin then you can’t be partying it up every single night. If you do, it will really take a toll on your skin. Smoking and alcohol dry out your skin and give it a ruddy complexion. The occasional drink or smoke won’t kill you, but it should only be in moderation. Daily smoking or drinking is terrible for your complexion and for your health.
