Natural Skin Lightening – 3 Products in Your Home That Will Give You a Great Complexion
Lighten Your Skin Naturally and Fade Dark Marks without Breaking the Bank
Dark marks on your face caused by acne scars or hyperpigmentation can leave you feeling self conscious. Skin lightening products are effective but can sometimes be quite expensive. You can fade dark marks and lighten you skin naturally without spending lots of money on expensive skin whitening products!
In this article, you’ll discover how to use inexpensive products that you can get from your local grocery store to fade dark marks and lighten your skin tone.
Lemon Juice
The citric acid found in lemons makes lemon juice a natural skin lightening agent. Applying lemon juice to your face regularly can fade dark marks, freckles and lighten your skin by a few shades.
After cleansing your face, squeeze the juice of a lemon onto some cotton wool and apply directly to your face then wash off after 10-15 minutes then moisturize as usual. If you do this every night, you should start to see results in about 3 weeks. You will feel a tingling sensation from the citric acid but it shouldn’t burn so if it does, wash it off straight away.
It is important that you do not go out in the sun with lemon juice on your face as it could have the opposite effect and make your skin darker!
Turmeric Powder and Lime Juice
You can find turmeric powder in the spice section of your local grocery store. To use it to lighten your skin, form a paste using a teaspoon of turmeric powder and the juice of half a lime. The paste should be easy to apply to your face – if you need it a bit thinner, just add some more lime juice. The turmeric can stain so it is best to do this in the bath. Leave on your face for up to 30 minutes and then wash off with plain water. If the mixture leaves your face a bit yellowish, don’t worry as it’s just the stain of the turmeric. If you apply the paste at night, by the morning the stain will be gone. You will discover a more even skin tone after a 3-4 weeks of daily use.
Potatoes
That’s right, I said potatoes! Potatoes contain natural skin bleaching agents and are very inexpensive. Just take a few thin slices of raw potato and rub it on your skin, focusing on the areas that you want to lighten. If you have a little more time, you can grate a raw potato, squeeze out the juice and keep it in the refrigerator. Apply some of the potato juice with some cotton wool and rinse off after about 15 minutes. Again, with daily use, you will see results in about 3-4 weeks of daily use.

Tips for a Glorious Complexion
Everyone dreams of possessing a beautiful, smooth, blemish-free complexion, but most of us are failing miserably in the skincare department. Yes, exceptional skin does largely depend upon genetics, but there are certainly a few things that you can do to improve the quality and look of your skin. Follow my tips and you’ll be on your way to a healthy glow.
Tip #1: Avoid excessive skin exposure. A golden tan is appealing, especially during the sun months but don’t overdo it. You should always, always wear at least SPF 15 whenever you leave your house, even when it’s raining, snowing or cloudy. A moisturizer will keep your skin soft and supple, and it will help resist the negative affects of the sun. You can still get a light tan while wearing sunscreen, so don’t let that hinder a liberal application of the stuff. You should also wear a large brimmed hat when you are laying back on a in direct sun exposure to protect the sensitive skin on your face.
Tip #2: Wash your skin every single night before bed. The skin on your face is incredibly sensitive and throughout the day dirt and grime really builds up. You will need to invest in a quality exfoliator to remove dirt and dry skin. Doing this every night will allow your skin to breath and heal while you sleep. Also make sure not to sleep with your face pressed against your pillow. This could lead to clogged pores, so try to sleep on your back if you can.
Tip #3: Give up smoking and excessive drinking. It can be a difficult trade-off, but if you want beautiful skin then you can’t be partying it up every single night. If you do, it will really take a toll on your skin. Smoking and alcohol dry out your skin and give it a ruddy complexion. The occasional drink or smoke won’t kill you, but it should only be in moderation. Daily smoking or drinking is terrible for your complexion and for your health.

How Collagen Skin Care Can Help Your Complexion
Collagen skin care information is often incorrect as to what it does and how it works. This article will help you understand what to do to get that younger fresher look.
What Skin Care Program Really Works?
If it were asked, ‘Do these skin care formulas really work in reducing skin wrinkles and fine lines?” The answer would be no, most of the time.
These ‘drug store concoctions” have more promise than results. They promise to help tissue replacement by smearing on some mixture of elastin, hyaluronic acid and collagen.
The Truth: No cream, solution or lotion with the formulas commonly found in stores when applied on the surface of the skin can penetrate deep enough to have any visible results. Period.
What Will Work on the Skin?
When tissue is lost lines and wrinkles appear. It is that simple. Collagen is the primary protein in the connective tissue. Collagen comprises about 25% to 35% of all the protein found in the body. Obviously, then collagen is very important.
Usually when it comes to collagen most will think of our skin. But collagen is necessary in organs, tendons, cartilage and in the circulatory system.
Collagen gives cells their exterior structure. Keratin and collagen supplies strength and elasticity to the skin.
For collagen to really work it can’t be applied topically to the skin nor even injected with any real results. A collagen formula of high quality used like the cosmetics company will not be very effective.
Collagen Formula That is Effective & Safe
For real success on skin a stimulation of new collagen and elastin growth can be done by introducing certain combination of proteins and enzymes through the skin.
This has been accomplished through the use of what is called Cynergy TK. Cynergy TK helps the body to make new collagen and stop the loss of hyaluronic acid. Another ingredient that has shown good results is Phytessence Wakame. It comes from sea kelp and has been used in Japanese Skin Care for many years.
With the above mentioned ingredients along with other real natural compounds on company has developed a skin care formula that is getting some amazing results such as being wrinkle free.

Best Anti Aging Skin Moisturizers For Restoring a Youthful Complexion
f you are like me you are sick and tired of using aging skin moisturizers that feel like thick grease. Often marketed as being for ‘mature’ complexions, they leave your skin feeling oily and clogged with goo! And the more you pay, the more you’re left feeling robbed. So I went looking for quality anti-aging facial creams that don’t cost the earth – and was pleasantly surprised.
You can generally get both day creams and nightcreams in any one product range. An anti-wrinkle nightcream is a good idea because it should be designed to nourish and protect while your skin is at rest overnight.
Any decent aging skin moisturizers should focus on the three main causes of wrinkles, lines and sagging:
- the breakdown of collagen and elastin (the proteins that hold cells together)
- the breakdown of cell structure, and
- free radicals, which damage cells.
This sounds complicated but it is possible to find cosmetic manufacturers who are able to tackle all these problems.
Ideally, you’ll also want a product that doesn’t use chemicals and possibly harmful ingredients.
Collagen and elastin
Don’t be fooled by products that claim to actually contain collagen and elastin. The molecules in these proteins are far too large to pass through the skin and will do no good at all.
Instead, help your body regenerate its own collagen.
Look for aging skin moisturizers that contain a special ingredient called CynergyTK™. This is a compound of keratin, a protein found throughout the body that is responsible for cell structure. Whereas some manufacturers get their keratin from hooves and feathers, CynergyTK comes from a keratin in sheep’s wool. It can actually produce fresh new cells and stimulate collagen to regrow. It goes on the face in a very light, thin film – some have called ‘liquid skin’.
Cell structure
Hyaluronic acid helps to glue the fibers of collagen and elastin together. It maintains the structure of the cells and keeps the skin smooth and taut. But as we age, an enzyme attacks this acid, reducing its concentration in the body. A beautiful, natural ingredient called phytessence wakame, derived from Japanese sea kelp, can fight this enzyme, restoring a youthful elasticity.
Free radicals
Finally, you need a powerful antioxidant to deal with those free radicals. Coenzyme Q10 is a natural antioxidant found throughout our bodies. Once again, it reduces as we age. A popular ingredient in many aging skin moisturizers, it has recently become available in a ‘nano-emulsion’ form that is better able to penetrate skin layers.
With a little digging, you can find a range of natural skincare products that contain all these important ingredients and more. No harmful parabens, fragrances or chemicals should be present in your anti wrinkle creams so make sure you read the label carefully.
